Brass Plated Records Used in Jerusalem?

 "...the Lord hath commanded me that thou and thy berthern shall return to Jerusalem"  "For behold, Laban hath the record of the Jews and also a agenealogy of my forefathers, and they are bengraven upon plates of brass."     (1 Nephi 3:2,3,12,24) 600 BC to 592 BC 

In the land of Israel they did write upon plates made out of brass.

"And this is the copy of the writing that they wrote back again, graven in tables of brass, and sent to Jerusalem, that it might be with them there for a memorial of the peace and alliance."  (1 Maccabees 8:22)   Translation from Douay-Rheims 1899 Edition

"And this is the copie of the Epistle which (the Senate) wrote backe againe, in tables of brasse: and sent to Ierusalem, that there they might haue by them a memorial of Peace & confederacy."  (1 Maccabees 8:22, King James Bible online)

1 Maccabees "is a book in" [the some of the older published versions of] "the Bible".  It was written in Hebrew from about 175 to 134 BC
