The Stick of Judah And Joseph

Ezekiel 37:19

"The Stick of Judah" is the Bible.
and
The "Stick of Joseph"
is the Book of Mormon.

“The word of the Lord came again unto me, saying, Moreover, thou son of man, take thee one stick, and write upon it, For Judah, and for the children of Israel his companions: then take another stick, and write upon it, For Joseph, the stick of Ephraim, and for all the house of Israel his companions: And join them one to another into one stick; and they shall become one in thine hand. And when the children of thy people shall speak unto thee, saying, Wilt thou not shew us what thou meanest by these? Say unto them, Thus saith the Lord God; Behold, I will take the stick of Joseph, which is in the hand of Ephraim, and the tribes of Israel his fellows, and will put them with him, even with the stick of Judah, and make them one stick, and they shall be one in mine hand. And the sticks whereon thou writest shall be in thine hand before their eyes.”  (Ezekiel 37:15-20)

“And it came to pass in the fourth year of Jehoiakim the son of Josiah king of Judah, [that] this word came unto Jeremiah from the Lord, saying, Take thee a roll of a book, and write therein all the words that I have spoken unto thee against Israel, and against Judah, and against all the nations, from the day I spake unto thee, from the days of Josiah, even unto this day. Then Jeremiah called Baruch the son of Neriah: and Baruch wrote from the mouth of Jeremiah all the words of the Lord, which he had spoken unto him, upon a roll of a book."  (Jeremiah 36:1-4)

   <<  A Hebrew Scroll
Many scriptures, in the Eastern Hemisphere, were written upon papyrus.   If small they were rolled upon one stick.
If the book or papyrus record was or became larger, they would use two “sticks at each end.  Then it became a scroll.
 ----------------------
In ancient times it was the custom to write on parchment and roll it on a stick. Therefore, when this command was given, it was the equivalent of directing that two books or records should be kept. "   (LeGrand Richards, A Marvelous Work and a Wonder, Ch.7, Pg.66, Ezekiel 37:16 & 20)

----------------------

The Book of Mormon is the stick of Joseph or sometimes referred to as the stick of Ephraim. Because it was written by the Book of Mormon people who were the descendants of the children of Ephraim.

   <<  The Prophet Isaiah
The Prophet Isaiah wrote that the Book of Mormon, in some future day, would come out of the ground and be delivered to an unlearned man.  That unlearned man was a latter-day Prophet, Joseph Smith.

A people (the Nephites) will speak as a voice from the dust.
The Book of Mormon came "...out of the ground..."  (Isaiah 29:4)

The Book of Mormon plates were "...delivered to him that is not learned..."  (Isaiah 29:12)

and to memorialize “the wisdom that inspired our martyred Prophet.” In December 1844, it advertised, “We
have published a very neat specimen of the original characters or hieroglyphics that were copied from the
plates which the Book of Mormon was translated from.”

Ezekiel, when writing about the joining of two "sticks" together, could have been referring to wood "wax writing boards", and/or, rolls of papyrus wrapped on two sticks.
