Three Heavens

Three Kingdoms

The Apostle Paul wrote that he was “caught up to the third heaven” (2 Corinthians 12:2)
[The Apostle Paul was caught up to the Celestial kingdom.]

There are three different Heavens or degrees of glory.  Those who will live in those three separate places will previously have been resurrected with different bodies. A different glorified body for each Kingdom. Our bodies will not be the same in the resurrection.

The Apostle Paul, in answer to the question in (1 Corinthians 15:35), "How are the dead raised up[resurrected] and with what body do the come?
[In other words, what will our bodies be like after the resurrection?]

The Apostle Paul then answers that question as stated;  "There are also celestial bodies, and bodies terrestrial: but the glory of the celestial is one, and the glory of the terrestrial is another... So also, is the resurrection of the dead."
 (1 Corinthians 15:35-42)

 << President Joseph Fielding Smith
“In the resurrection there will be different kinds of bodies; they will not all be alike. The body a man receives will determine his place hereafter. There will be celestial bodies, terrestrial bodies, and telestial bodies. …"  (President Joseph Fielding Smith, New Testament Seminary Teacher Manual)

 << Elder Bruce R. McConkie
“… Some will gain celestial bodies with all the powers of exaltation and eternal increase. These bodies will shine like the sun as our Savior’s does. … Those who enter the terrestrial kingdom will have terrestrial bodies, and they will not shine like the sun, but they will be more glorious than the bodies of those who receive the telestial glory” (Doctrines of Salvation, comp. Bruce R. McConkie, 3 vols. [1954–56], 2:286, 287)

"Wise Aztec teachers declared: ...that they did not die but woke from a dream they had lived...and became once more spirits...they said, too, that some were transformed into the sun, others into the moon and others  into various stars.
Another place where they said the souls of the dead went, the earthly  paradise named Tlalocan, in which it was said there was much rejoicing and comfort and no  sorrow whatever."

Lord Edward Kingsborough in referring caught up to the third heaven” (2 Corinthians 12:2), records the following:

"...Mexicans, [Aztecs], who also believe in a plurality and certain order of the heavens, as the interpreter of the Codex Vaticanus informs us in the hundred and fifty-ninth page of the sixth volume of this work."  (Antiquities of Mexico, by Lord Edward Kingsborough, Vol.6, Notes: p. 208)
