A few references to the Church that the Savior organized;

“I commend unto you Phebe our sister, which is a servant of the church which is at Cenchrea:”   (Romans 16:1)

“Gaius mine host, and of the whole church, saluteth you. Erastus the chamberlain of the city saluteth you, and Quartus a brother.”  (Romans 16:23)

“And hath put all things under his feet, and gave him to be the head over all things to the church,”   (Ephesians 1:22)

“For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church: and he is the saviour of the body.”  (Ephesians 5:23)

“Therefore as the church is subject unto Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in every thing.”   (Ephesians 5:24)

“Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it;”   (Ephesians 5:25)

“That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish.”   (Ephesians 5:27)

“For no man ever yet hated his own flesh; but nourisheth and cherisheth it, even as the Lord the church:”   (Ephesians 5:29)

“This is a great mystery: but I speak concerning Christ and the church.”   (Ephesians 5:32)

“As for Saul, he made havock of the church, entering into every house, and haling men and women committed them to prison.”   (Acts 8:3)

“Now about that time Herod the king stretched forth his hands to vex certain of the church.”   (Acts 12:1)

All of these above references refer to an organization not a church building.

This organized governmental Church was organized by and under the direction of the Savior, Jesus Christ.

Why would Jesus Christ organize a Church?

“Till we all come [to a]  unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ:

That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive;”   (Ephesians 4:13)

With authority, [the Priesthood], given by Jesus Christ to his Apostles, that organization of the Church of Jesus Christ was organized so that that part of the world could be of:

“One Lord, one faith, one baptism,”  (Ephesians 4:5)

After the death of Jesus Christ upon the cross and his resurrection, he came over to the Western Hemisphere and organized his Church among the Nephite people.

"And it came to pass that when Jesus... called...twelve...and
[gave them] power that they may baptize..."    (3 Nephi 12:1) 34 A.D.

In the year 1830 A.D. Jesus Christ again as a part of the organizing of his church called twelve Apostles.

Thus Jesus Christ has continued calling Prophets, Apostles and other officers in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Jesus Christ has continued to fill calling and positions in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints today.

Thus with the authority from God being restored upon the earth once again by a personal visit from Jesus Christ.  The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, operates as it did in times past with the same ordained priesthood authority, positions, callings, and offices as listed in the New Testament of the Bible.
